SUNDAY UPDATES

Sunday, February 7, 2010
Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone! I never watch the Superbowl unless I have to or if I am at a Superbowl party. It's very useful to get the updates by twitter so I don't have to watch it the whole time!

I've been looking for a simple black ballet flat for the longest time and I went EVERYWHERE looking for some and no mas! NOTHING.. It was either too uncomfortable or not in my size. I really wanted to get a pair before Chinese New Year, since I won't be able to buy any shoes afterward for a month.. (It's a Chinese superstition!) SIGH~ Oh well.. I have a haul coming in tomorrow so I can't wait for it!

I haven't been really shopping much.. I haven't been seeing anything I really needed lately.. which is very good for my wallet since I'm not working much! But I'm buying basics that I need..

At H&M I had like a arm full of stuff to try on but I left the store with one thing!

Black Exaggerated Shoulder Top

I once thought these tops are really unflattering on me since I have thick arms but when I tried it on, it was really cute on me! Plus this was about $10 and there is a longer sleeved one for $12.

(Sorry sucky Photo Booth picture, I was too lazy to get my camera.)

LOOOVE the shoulders!

So I went to Victoria's Secret and picked up a few things.

This nail polish is amazing! I really wanted a navy blue color and "Yes" is PERFECT!

This was just one coat. So pretty!

Orange Soft Lip Pot

It smells like an orange creamsicle! Yum~

I really want NYX's white jumbo pencil but I haven't gotten it and I really liked VS.. So I went ahead and got the VS one. It's such a pretty color!

Swatches of the pencil and lip pot~

SO UPDATE BLURB!

I might be getting my license soon! I'm really excited/nervous about it. I hope I don't fail.. -_-; That would be such a disappointment.. but I'm keeping optimistic like usual!

I still haven't heard back from the college I want to get into.. I'm hope I get in.. cause I didn't apply anywhere else but there.. D:

4 more months until I graduate! Woot woot~

Oh and yesterday I was trying to do a look with my 120 palette.. and I had problems trying to get the colors to show up on my eyes. Sigh.. I guess I really do need the NYX jumbo pencil in white to get the colors to show up more vibrantly!

I'm trying to get more into using my camera.. like taking awesome pictures and stuff. Time to youtube it! :D (Any tips anyone on using a Nikon D40?)

TGIF!

Friday, January 29, 2010
This week has been sorta okay. I only work less then 30 hours now so I have more time to do other things, like blogging! :D

So picking up from a few weeks ago, one of my old friend had dropped by and gave me my Christmas gift. Inside was a AG Adriano Goldschmied "The Pilot" jean jacket and a scarf. And both are from Anthropologie!

I love jean jackets and this one can be worn during spring/summer since it's pretty thin. :) I was shocked that it cost $178 so I hope he got it at a TJ MAXX or one of those stores.

This scarf is pretty cool too. I love the colors in it!

So this week, I did a bit of shopping!

I was out with my sister on Sunday and we went to the mall cause we were waiting on my cousin to come home, we had went into Wet Seal and they had a buy one get one for 1 cent deal. My sister needed a red belt but she couldn't find anything else to buy so I got this!

Purple Cheetah Print Circle Scarf

I know it looks blue but the flash made it like that. I love circle scarfs cause you can wear it different ways!

During the week, I went to a few different Target around town and finally got some stuff I've been wanting for so long!

Silver Bow Belt

SO ADORABLE RIGHT? I had waited so long for this to go on sale. I had to go to 2 different stores to get it in my size. It's actually a bit too big but since I haven't found a medium yet, I'll have to deal with the large. It was about $4. :D

Dark Brown Moccasins

You guys have no idea how much I love moccasins.. I really needed a new pair since I got paint on my original ones.. It was also about $4 too!

Sonia Kashuk Foral Train Case

I love the print and I really needed something to put my make up in! Inside there is a bag velcored to the top that is perfect for storing brushes. Good buy and it was about $10. :)

Lately I had time to paint my nails since I don't have much homework now and I work less..

I love having yellow tips! I used my yellow L.A. Color nail polish and gold glitter L.A. Color Art Deco.

AND GUESS WHAT GUYS!

I GOT A CAR~

A white 2001 Toyota Camry!

Yeah it's a pretty old car but the owner (who is my dad's friend) said that the car is like brand new because this car was his wife's car and she had started to get sick and she couldn't drive it anymore so it's just been sitting there. The car had a full tank of gas and 4 new tires! The interior was clean too. It's just on the front bumper there's a dent because the lady had bumped into something.. I'm going to get it fixed or cover soon but I can't wait to start decorating it! :D I've been looking at so much Hello Kitty car accessories.. I WANT THEM ALLLLLLL!!!

Hopefully this weekend is good. I need to make up for my week. It was eh cause I was being annoyed by so many people but whatever!

E.L.F. HAUL AND 120 PALETTE

Friday, January 22, 2010
This week has been hectic. I've been studying (cramming) for my mid-terms and for Chemistry, which I was failing because I have a shitty teacher. Sigh! SO GLAD this week is over. I can start fresh and focus because I graduate in about 5 months!!

So since last time I blogged (which was forever ago.. -_-;) I received my E.L.F. order! I ordered a couple of brushes and 2 lashes.

L to R: Defining Eye Brush, Contour Brush, Blush, Bronzing and Blending Brush, Eyeliner Brush and Blending Brush.

What I really wanted to get was just the blending brush and the contour brush because I gave Melissa back her M.A.C. 217 brush and I always wanted to try the 219 pencil brush. I was planning to get a M.A.C. brush set but I didn't find any that had the 217 and 219 together that was available so I had to find dupes!

The Blending Brush, isn't exactly like the 217, it's more like a fuller pencil brush but it works the same. The Contour Brush is great. I haven't tried a 219 before but this brush is what I would expect from it. Both brushes pick up color instantly and they're very soft.

The Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush was just a filler item. I needed a couple of more brushes to get to 10 bucks and I just got this cause I need a blush brush anyways! Usually from all my E.L.F. brushes, they're usually soft but not this one! It's a bit scrachy.. which isn't a big deal to me but it was just $1.

The Defining Eye Brush was another filler item, I haven't used it yet but it's soft! And the Eyeliner Brush, I got it for my mom. I'm teaching her how to fill in her brows with a brush cause she loves how my eyebrows look. (I use my NYX Eye Angled Brush to fill in my brows.)

Finally, lashessssss~
I've been wanting to try their lashes forever now since they look nice and it's for just $1!

Dramatic Lash Kit

Natural Lash Kit

Overall, I wasn't disapointted in the Dramatic Lash Kit.. but I am in at the Natural Lash kit.. If you notice one is more longer then the other. Which is going to look stupid on me. :/ I might just have to trim it or something to salvage it!

What I really want to get for a while now was a 120 palette and I finally got it from Lex for Christmas. Since it was from Hong Kong, it took a while to come. The one my mom orignally got for me came 2 days earlier since we paid for it 2 days earlier. I gave that one to Melissa but I couldn't wait to play around with it!

The colors are soooo amazing!

Some mattes are chaky and some shimmers are just a pile of glitter. I'm so happy I got this! I love eyeshadow but paying $14 for M.A.C. is not my thing. I buy M.A.C. for it's collections.. (Fafi and Hello Kitty~) but for a single eyeshadow.. no thanks!

I did play around with the palette already. Not a full look but just seeing what I can create with it..

The pink was just using matte colors and the blue was mainly shimmer! I love how they turn out. I used my Too Faced Shadow Insurance and a base with it. Color payoff is awesome but a few colors.. which is fine! Oh and I used my new Blending Brush and Contour Brush too for this look. :)

Ahh, I have some more stuff to blog about but I'll save it for next time. ;)
